Elizabeth Beach is a narrow rainforest-and-headland isthmus between the ocean and Wallis Lake, with the patrolled 1km surf beach itself running between Seagull Point and the Shelly Beach headland. Booti Booti National Park surrounds and backs onto much of the locality, and the Pacific Palms Recreation Club overlooks Wallis Lake on the quieter, lake-facing side of the peninsula. Just 259 residents were counted at the 2021 census, up from 218 in 2016, with owner-occupancy climbing from 71.1% to 82.7% over that period.
Sandy dune soil covers most blocks, and couch and buffalo are the go-to grasses on the exposed, salt-and-wind-hit headland edges, while kikuyu holds up better on the sheltered, rainforest-fringed streets such as Lethbridge Road.
